Chinese Gratitude. "Enclosed please find our cheque for £10 10/ as a slight token of esteem and appreciation of the good work and attention to such of our countrymen who have come under your institution's care. Your institution does everything to make the stranger feel at home during'his stav, and we can assure you that although they cannot express their gratitude in words your kind ness is no less appreciated." This was a letter received by the Hospital Board yesterday, and signed by Mr Wah Lee on behalf of the Chinese community in Auckland. In moving that th« donation be received with thanks, Mr. W. Wallace, chairman, said the Chinese were always grateful for what was done for them, and the donation had been forthcoming for ten years  to his knowledge.
